Margaret Sison’s love for photography began 16 years ago. Inspired by the profound work of such masters like Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, and Weegee, Margaret went on to study at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. For a few years thereafter, she pursued a career as a photojournalist, shooting editorial portraiture for several magazines and newsweeklies. Developing a distinctive style all her own— combining art and realism in her work—Margaret’s photographs have appeared in Los Angeles Magazine, LA Weekly, Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, and Teen People. Her documentary sensibilities coupled with her keen sense of observation can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. As a bride in 2003, Margaret discovered how her distinctive style and technique can be applied to photographing weddings. Soon her desire to capture the significant moments in life began to develop into a great passion. Margaret’s unobtrusive and photojournalistic approach will seize the splendor of your special day as it unfolds through artistic, natural, and timeless photographs. She carries all the ideals from her own personal work to wedding photography, shooting with various types of cameras and using only film. Margaret currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, their daughter and their two dogs.
